Olaf Osten from Vienna is one of the 24 artists chosen to put their stylistic stamp on the "tschutti heftli" collectible pictures. The 48-year-old graphic designer convinced the jury with an expressionist close-up of world coach Jürgen Klopp and designed the tschutti-heftli stickers of David Alaba, Alessandro Florenzi or Ben Chilwell in the current issue. The 34-year-old Victor Wendl from Vienna made it into the magazine with a cartoonish version of "Kloppo": "I wanted to show the inner rascal," says the illustrator, so he highlighted Jürgen Klopp's distinctive way of smiling. In the current issue, for example, he will design Franco Foda staying true to his cartoonish style.

Victor Wendl: Capturing the essence of the player.
"My name is Víctor Wendl and I work as a graphic designer and sometimes illustrator in Vienna. Right now I'm designing 12 players for the tschutti heftli football scrapbook 2021. The creation process looks like this, I think in advance how to best capture the essence of the player. Then I make up to 10 quick drawings. Sometimes it can happen very quickly, sometimes it takes a long time until I think to myself - yes, that's him. Franco Foda took some time. In photos, I noticed the corners of his mouth. He often contorts them, as if he's thinking about something. I found that interesting for the drawing as well. I notice that many players wear the same hairstyle. That makes it difficult sometimes when there's no distinctive facial feature."
Olaf Osten: Questioning neoliberal football business.
"My name is Olaf Osten and I work as a graphic designer and artist in Vienna. When designing players, including David Alaba, Bernardo Silva and Gareth Bale , I refer to the no borders concept of the Euro 2021. And I want to show the dynamic qualities in football. I am proud to be part of the team tschutti heftli because football is very important to me. The so-called neoliberal economy makes business out of it and endangers us and our solidarity in every way. Tschutti heftli opposes it with intelligence and culture. Sometimes my son Enno and I grab our ball and go to one of the football cages here in Vienna and play quite naturally with people we have never seen before. That works in any place in the world. because the common language is football."
